As a dental surgeon for over 24 years now, it still amazes me how much power comes from healthy smiles. That is why our first consultation must be the most complete and accurate possible. Our first appointment is a “case study” for its exceptional in-depth analysis and the resulting comprehensive treatment planning.

Treatment plan and costs
Our philosophy is to do the maximum interventions in the fewest amount of appointments, yet without taking any risks and always making sure things are well done. Every step of your treatment plan will be explained to you, as well as the associated costs before we start. We pride ourselves in making sure all is understood by you. The plan, the risks, the benefits, the costs and the time frame of your dental treatment. We do not offer any financing solutions and we do not work directly with any health insurance company as we are a fully private practice.
Advanced biological dentistry diagnosis
Your general health comes first. We take our time to understand what your body really needs to heal. That is why we go beyond the dental aspects of diagnosis, using a 360º comprehensive, interdisciplinary and biological approach. We always start by assessing any and every inflammation symptom, in order to give you the immune support you need. We are very critical of any dental work you have done in the past and will investigate as much as needed to see if your dentistry is causing you any toxicity or negative immune response. We can run blood tests to check your levels of inflammation.
Exclusive and interdisciplinary treatment explanation
Along with a private presentation of different cases that will help you understand how we are going to work and bring your healthy smile back, a conversation with one or more doctors, backed by our interdisciplinary medical team, will address the entire basis of your biological dentistry treatment. Many times, showcasing similar treatments and outcomes we have treated in the past will help you understand how we do things and what to expect. We will also have our support staff present to help you understand costs and logistics. We have designated rooms for this so you can ask all the questions you need. Understanding all the costs and the time frames of all complex cases is key to managing expectations. We are very open and forthcoming about the way we work.

We have incredible technology to help diagnose and plan all types of dental treatments. Our first consultation always includes a 3D CT scan, and may include a Facial Scan, Intraoral scan, Teksan for occlusion and digital periapical X-rays if needed. We also have healing technologies that are ideal for helping with dental phobia and dental anxiety.

Pre-consultation safety guideline
At White Clinic we offer a clinically safe environment. During this period of restrictions, we have adopted all safety measures as defined by the W.H.O. and by our government. For your appointment, we will use all necessary PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). We have also been following the Slow Dentistry philosophy for over 24 years – allowing us to deliver world-class treatments and safety protocols.
Important measures that will be taken:
- Please try to come to your appointment alone (without companions, whenever possible).
- Avoid excessive accessories (e.g. backpacks, hats, scarves, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.). A sanitised container will be at your disposal for you to house your belongings during your appointment.
- Respect the time of your consultation. We ask that you arrive 5 minutes in advance to complete your check-in. We usually start on time.
- Before your visit to the clinic, we ask you to be vigilant to the possibility of symptoms or contact with people infected by COVID-19, and please let us know. We also ask you to inform us if you have travelled internationally in the days before your dental appointment.
All our first appointments are carried out by the White Clinic’s expert medical team and always under the supervision of our Clinical Director.
Procedures when at the clinic

Your first consultation will last between 1 and 2 hours.
Please be on time. We want to avoid having too many people in the common waiting areas.
Patients must maintain a social distance between themselves at all times.
Non-essential people must remain outside the clinic, and can wait in the downstairs reception atrium until the patient they are accompanying concludes their treatment. This does not apply to those accompanying people with special needs or children, who must also follow our special protective measures.
Please keep your cell phones on silent and avoid taking calls while in the clinic.
We have wheelchair and elevator access.
Coming from abroad?
Please ask to speak to Sofia Guedes de Sousa or Ricardo Pinto from our front desk (fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese). They will deal with all prior arrangements once your booking is confirmed, to make sure your trip and first consultation at our dental clinic in Lisbon go smoothly. We are a 20 minute ride from the airport. We can suggest 5 star and 4 star accommodations near our clinic. Ubers are easy to find, safe and affordable.
