Dr. Ana Paz spoke at the Integrative Oncology Congress on the importance of liquid biopsy

The head of our integrative medical department, Dr. Ana Paz gave a lecture at the Integrative Oncology Congress, led by the renowned Prof. Dr. Lair Ribeiro, an international authority in integrative medicine. The event brought together experts and professionals from around the world to discuss groundbreaking approaches in integrative oncology.

The Integrative Oncology Congress took place in Porto, Portugal, on September 21st and 22nd, led by the prestigious international authority in integrative medicine, Prof. Dr. Lair Ribeiro, who is also the author of multiple influential books, including two on oncology. Attendees flew in from all over the world, including doctors, leading scientists and members of the public.

We are proud to share that our very own Dr. Ana Paz was one of the speakers. In addition to being the head of our research and development department, and an element of the surgical team, Dr. Paz is also at the forefront of our integrative medicine department – helping patients with autoimmune diseases and cancer explore the intricate connection between oral health and the body’s systemic health.

During her presentation, Dr. Paz highlighted the significance of liquid biopsy in cancer diagnosis and prognosis. This minimally invasive technique not only enhances diagnostic accuracy, but also plays a crucial role in tailoring personalised therapeutic strategies. The White Clinic was a pioneer in this testing. Many patients that come to our clinic have a combination of complex dental issues and cancer and this testing, coupled with our exclusive high-tech treatments, offers a unique approach to helping our patients heal. The “mouth-body” connection is real. During her time on stage, Dr. Paz presented several clinical cases where liquid biopsy proved to be a game-changer in improving patient outcomes.

The Integrative Oncology Congress drew an impressive audience of over 650 attendees, reflecting the growing interest in integrative approaches to cancer treatment. All proceeds from the event were generously donated to ASAS, a charity committed to supporting disadvantaged children and families in Portugal.
